I’m sure all of you know most of them by now. But just to be sure, here’s what I do to make Firefox load pages a little faster and add or remove some features:
This is by no means a complete or absolute list. It’s just what I do myself, and what seems to work for me. There are many sites and web pages discussing these things, and I guess all I did was just add another one to the list

I only adjust some things in the about:config part of Firefox. But there are other different methods to speed-up your webbrowser. There’s Fasterfox, some sort of plugin that (amongst other things) adjusts these settings for you. And Swiftfox, an optimized build of Firefox for certain processor types.
Finally, if you want a web browser that’s faster, not only in loading pages but also as a program itself, you might want to take a look at some of the more lightweight browsers like Kazehakaze, Midori or Hv3.
